about

The Dogon - a people from West Africa. reputed to have knowledge of our solar system for thousands of years. Thru gained this knowledge by interacting beings with advanced technology.

A demonstration of how the past projects into the future. A musical demonstrate of of this is where, synthesisers were perceived to be futuristic but in terms of time are considered ancient.

DJ Bemi takes this 'future retro' approach with this release. Utilising 70s elecsonics, driven by hip hop drums, effused with afrobeat rhythm. Influences are drawn from from Lonnie Liston Smith, Dexter Wansel, Juan Atkins, Pete Rock, Tony Allen and other luminaries

Like the Nummo who came to Earth to share knowledge. This will be a journey of discovery.
